All Blacks at the Weta Cave – Lurtz only the tallest by a hair...

Members of the New Zealand national pride, The All Blacks rugby team, visited the Weta Cave recently during a day of relaxation in preparation for a game.

Usually the biggest guys in any room, even these giants of the pitch appeared smallish next to our brute Lurtz, but when you consider that Lurtz is held aloft by a 12-inch plinth… you realize exactly the scale of visitors we're talking about here. And at 201 cm (6ft 7in), Kevin O'Neill gave him a run for his money, which is something the fighting Uruk-Hai rarely experience.

The guys allegedly had a fantastic time and there were persistent rumours that once they got back to their hotel and shared their experience of wielding swords and rayguns – their team mates wished they'd come too…
