To New Zealand pop-culture fans, Armageddon is the mother load. Earlier in the year the show visited Wellington and Christchurch and now it's Auckland 's turn. On October 25-27, the south pacific pop culture glitterati descend on the Aotea Centre.
Among celebrity guests, this year including Doug Jones (Hellboy's Abe Sapien) and Margot Kidder (Lois Lane in the Superman films of he 1980's), there will of course as usual be a cosplay contest on the Monday.

Every year in Wellington, the New Zealand Montana World of WearableArt™ Awards Show is held, bringing together the most creative costume artists from New Zealand and the world.
This year, the people here at Weta have followed the goings-on with particular anticipation. One of our colleagues, whose day job is as a costume technician here in the Workshop, was selected to enter one of her creations in the contest.
